Timplex was founded in 1969 by Ron Slate, a custom homebuilder who became intrigued with trusses during his early work for a commercial contractor. His mindset was always to design and build truss systems “like we would build our own home”. To this day, we strive to build that value into every project, and as a result enjoy many long term customer relationships.
In 2026 Timplex was purchased byPanel Fabrication Systems.

PFS was founded in 2024 with a simple but ambitious vision: to transform the way multifamily and commercial projects are built by providing precision-engineered wall panel systems as a superior alternative to traditional stick framing. Through advanced design software, automated manufacturing equipment, and quality-controlled fabrication, we created a process that improves consistency, reduces waste, shortens construction schedules, and lowers overall project costs.
As our customers embraced panelized construction, we recognized an opportunity to take the next step.
With the acquisition of Timplex Truss, PFS has evolved into a complete structural component manufacturer, capable of producing both prefabricated wall panels and engineered roof and floor truss systems. This integration creates a seamless, coordinated building solution that dramatically improves efficiency from design through installation.
